Working with food has been a life long ambition for Chef Dean. His childhood appreciation for food led to an apprenticeship in Niagara-on-the-Lake at the Angel Inn and at the Prince of Wales.

Chef Dean worked in many brigade positions including: pantry, pasta, grilling and pastry. His growing expertise led him into an Executive Chef's position at a young age.

Chef Dean earned his stripes at such fine dining establishments as:

    • Ritz Carlton Montreal,
    • Arowhon Pines (formerly Relais Chateaux), and
    • Whistle Bear Golf Club (host of the CPGA).

Chef Dean is a culinary artist, his support of FoodLink adds to his culinary repertoire as he creates delicious dishes featuring local foods. Chef Dean's committment to local cuisine and sharing his culinary knowledge with young cooks is now a benefit to Liaison College students.

Presently Chef Dean is a local judging chef with Skills Ontario and is the president of the local chapter of the Canadian Culinary Federation.
