Corporate Team Building

Everyone enjoys eating, so why not incorporate food into your team building? The Liaison College staff are experts when it comes to providing a fun, relaxing and ultimately delicious experience.

Building your team has never been more rewarding. We offer as many approaches as you can imagine. Read the Testimonials.

Our staff can help you design the right event

  • Unwind, while our Master Chef Instructors lead your team in a hands-on session.
  • Let our Chef Instructors create the meal as you watch; learn how the pros do it., or
  • Form teams, cook the meal yourselves, and compete for prizes.

Our staff can assist you in designing an event that brings your team together in a relaxing environment for an afternoon or evening of fun. Regardless of how the food gets to the table, in the end, you can enjoy your finished meal in our stylish dining room.

Team Building is a great way to get your group working together on a delicious outcome! Here are some quick FAQ’s on our event standards – please keep in mind that anything is possible and we are willing to work with you to ensure the best possible event for your group.

What is team building?

  • Team Building is a way for your group to interact with each other in an informal setting away from the usual work environment. At Liaison College we do this in our teaching kitchens and the interactive project is a meal that your group prepares by working together under the supervision of our Chef Instructors.

How is the event structured?

  • For a typical event, your team will arrive at 6 p.m. and receive an apron, a recipe booklet and a name tag; we supply a light refreshment while the group mingles prior to the start. The group is welcomed by the Chef Instructor and an overview of the 3-course menu is given. The group is divided into “teams” and each team is assigned an assistant (a Liaison College student) and a work station. The teams start their culinary mission.
  • By 8 p.m. the food is ready to eat and the group will be seated in our dining room while their meal is finalized and served. The event ends approx. 9 p.m.

How do we choose a menu?

  • In order to assist us with creating the perfect menu for your group, we ask you to complete an Inquiry Form and return it to us. The form will give us an idea about the dynamics of your group: size, dietary restrictions, preferred dates, themes etc. All of the necessary information to help us plan your event. We will then respond to you with a proposal for your consideration and confirm availability of our kitchens on your preferred dates.

When is the event booked and confirmed?

  • Once you have approved the date, menu and costs etc., we will draft a contract for your execution and you will pay a deposit (cash, visa, mastercard, cheque) with the balance due on the day of the event

Is wine pairing an option?

  • Anything is possible if your group so decides. Wine is a popular optional add on. We’ve also done Scotch tastings, Olive Oil tastings, and theme cocktails.

What is the cost?

  • As of this posting, the cost of the 3 course plan as described above is $125 per person (options are extra). Please call the campus to confirm pricing as it is subject to change.

What size should the group be?

  • It can be anywhere from 6 – 60.

We look forward to working with your group!

Please download our flier and use the Event Form to plan your team building exercise. You can either fill in the form and email it to us, or print it off and fax it to the campus.
