The first meeting of the Waterloo Branch of the CCF Chef
Association was held on Monday November 14th at the Liaison College
Kitchener Campus. It was a resounding success! Mr. Joe Poge of
Poge Imports was elected President of the Branch. Penny Bateson
of Liaison College is the Secretary. We had a good cross-section
of Chefs, Line Cooks, Suppliers and Educators at the meeting
which was chaired by Roy Butterworth, the National Administrator
for the CCF based out of Nova Scotia.
Our next meeting is 7:00
p.m. Monday December 5 at Country Boy Restaurant (Manitou Dr
and Fairway Rd) in Kitchener. The meetings will be held on
the first Monday of each month with a revolving venue - this
way participants will get to visit other establishments to held
cement the bond that is quickly forming.
We welcome new members
