Student Graduate Success Stories

Kevin Hicks ... started the Cook Basic program in August 2004 and finished in January 2005. He was working at Jack Astors Bar & Grill as a Line Cook, and he wanted to get his diploma because “education and experience = success.” Kevin was our Student of the Month for November 2004 in recognition of his being “on the ball” and always being one step ahead.

Kevin will always be remembered for his unfortunate flan and for being the ringleader of the Student Ninjas. He is currently working at Trinity Village.

Brenda McKenna ... was working at Montana’s in Cambridge when he started his stint in the Cook Basic program. He was the Student of the Month for January 2005 in recognition of his attention to detail and his obvious desire to succeed in the culinary field.

His artistic flair was evident in everything he plated —and it tasted great too! Brendan is currently working at Pastos in the Best Western Stoneridge Inn in London, a fine dining establishment.

Adam Charron:   Adam graduated from both the Cook Basic and Cook Advanced programs with honours (his marks were in the high 90’s).  He is currently working at Kelsey’s in Kitchener and has been put on the fast track for their Management program.
